Description

Enjoy a creamy and nutritious Coconut Chocolate Zucchini Smoothie that blends cocoa and coconut with zucchini and banana for a deliciously refreshing treat. Perfect for breakfast or a snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium zucchini, chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, frozen
  • 1 cup coconut milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: shredded coconut, cacao nibs, or sliced banana

Instructions

  1. Wash the zucchini thoroughly under running water and scrub gently to remove any dirt.
  2. Chop the zucchini into small pieces, leaving the skin on for added nutrients.
  3. Peel and slice the ripe banana, ensuring it is frozen for a creamier texture.
  4. Gather all ingredients on the counter for easy access.
  5. In a blender, add the chopped zucchini first.
  6. Next, add the frozen banana.
  7. Pour in the coconut milk, adjusting the amount for desired thickness.
  8. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder.
  9. Drizzle in the honey or maple syrup, adjusting to taste.
  10. Add the vanilla extract.
  11. Toss in the shredded coconut.
  12. Add a pinch of salt.
  13. If desired, add ice cubes for a colder, thicker smoothie.
  14. Secure the lid on the blender and start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth.
  15. Stop to scrape down the sides if needed, then blend again for another 15-30 seconds until silky-smooth. Adjust consistency with more coconut milk if too thick.
  16. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with more honey or maple syrup if desired.
  17. For a stronger chocolate flavor, add an extra teaspoon of cocoa powder and blend again.
  18. Pour the smoothie into a glass or bowl.
  19. Add optional toppings like shredded coconut, cacao nibs, or sliced banana.
  20. Enjoy your delicious Coconut Chocolate Zucchini Smoothie!
