Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. of your favorite noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles recommended)
  • 1 lb. of steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 cup of broccoli florets (or any vegetable you prefer)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Cook the noodles according to package instructions (5-7 minutes for egg noodles, 3-5 minutes for rice noodles). Stir occasionally.
  3. Drain and rinse the noodles under cold water. Set aside.
  4. Let the steak sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes without moving it.
  8. Flip the steak and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
  9. In the last minute, add 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the pan, basting the steak with the melted butter.
  10. Remove the steak and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  11. In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and sauté in the remaining butter and garlic for 3-4 minutes until tender but crisp.
  12. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and cook for another minute.
  13. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with vegetables and sauce. Toss to combine.
  14. Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips and add to the skillet. Toss everything together.
  15. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  16. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, consider adding red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha to the sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute the vegetables based on your preference or seasonal availability.
