- 8 oz. of your favorite noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles recommended)
- 1 lb. of steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 cup of broccoli florets (or any vegetable you prefer)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water and add a pinch of salt.
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions (5-7 minutes for egg noodles, 3-5 minutes for rice noodles). Stir occasionally.
- Drain and rinse the noodles under cold water. Set aside.
- Let the steak sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
- Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes without moving it.
- Flip the steak and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
- In the last minute, add 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the pan, basting the steak with the melted butter.
- Remove the steak and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and sauté in the remaining butter and garlic for 3-4 minutes until tender but crisp.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and cook for another minute.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with vegetables and sauce. Toss to combine.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips and add to the skillet. Toss everything together.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
