This Iced Strawberry Jasmine Tea is a delightful blend of floral jasmine tea, fresh strawberries, and a splash of lemon, making it a perfect refreshing drink for warm days. It’s easy to prepare and visually appealing, ideal for gatherings or a relaxing afternoon. Enjoy it chilled over ice, garnished with mint for an extra touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried jasmine tea leaves
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium-sized pot.
  2. Remove the pot from heat and add 2 tablespoons of dried jasmine tea leaves. Let steep for 5-7 minutes (up to 10 for a stronger flavor).
  3. Strain the tea into a heatproof pitcher to remove the tea leaves and set aside to cool to room temperature.
  4. Hull and slice 1 cup of fresh strawberries into thin pieces.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of honey. Toss gently and let sit for 10-15 minutes to release juices.
  6. Once the tea has cooled, add the strawberry mixture (including juices) to the pitcher of tea.
  7. Squeeze in 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir gently to combine.
  8. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or pour over ice to cool quickly.
  9. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  10. Pour the chilled tea over the ice, including some strawberry slices for presentation.
  11. Add fresh mint leaves on top for garnish.
  12. Taste the tea and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as desired.
  13. Serve the iced tea right away for the best experience.
  14. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, stirring before serving.
  15. Feel free to add other fruits or try different types of tea for a unique twist.

Notes

  • For the best flavor, use filtered water.
