- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions (6-8 minutes) until al dente.
- Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté the chopped onion for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Increase heat to high, add ground beef, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Add julienned carrots, sliced bell pepper, and broccoli florets to the skillet.
- Stir and cook for about 5 minutes until vegetables are tender but crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture. Stir to coat evenly.
- Add the cooked egg noodles and gently toss to combine.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
