  • 2 tablespoons Nutella
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, your preference!)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup (optional, for extra chocolatey flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (or more, depending on desired thickness)
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Coffee and Nutella: In a blender, pour in your cold brew coffee (or chilled strong brewed coffee). Add the Nutella to the blender.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the coffee and Nutella on medium speed until the Nutella is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth (about 30-60 seconds). Scrape down the sides if needed.
  3. Add Milk: Add the milk to the blender.
  4. Add Heavy Cream (Optional): If using, add the heavy cream.
  5. Chocolate Syrup (Optional): If using, drizzle in the chocolate syrup.
  6. Vanilla Extract: Add the vanilla extract.
  7. A Pinch of Sea Salt: Add a pinch of sea salt.
  8. Add the Ice: Add the ice cubes to the blender. Start with 1/2 cup and add more if you want a thicker shake.
  9. Blend Until Smooth and Thick: Blend on high speed until the shake is smooth and thick (about 1-2 minutes). Add more ice if needed.
  10. Check the Consistency: Stop the blender and check the consistency. If it’s too thick, add a little more milk. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
  11. Taste Test: Taste and adjust flavors to your liking. Add more Nutella or chocolate syrup for sweetness, or more cold brew for a stronger coffee flavor.
  12. Pour into a Glass: Pour the shake into a tall glass.
  13. Add Whipped Cream (Optional): If using, add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.
  14. Garnish (Optional): Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder. Drizzle a little extra chocolate syrup on top.
