Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water (more if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 medium-sized apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp), cored and thinly sliced
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 68 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh peach slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh apple slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chopped peaches in a blender or food processor.
  2. Add lemon juice, water, and honey (or agave).
  3. Blend until completely smooth. Add more water, 1 tablespoon at a time, if too thick.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  5. (Optional) Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. In a medium saucepan, combine sliced apples, water, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
  8. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  10. Strain the apple infusion through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher or large bowl. Discard solids.
  11. In a separate pitcher or large bowl, combine lemon juice and granulated sugar.
  12. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
  13. Add water and stir well to combine.
  14. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  15. Pour the cooled apple infusion into the lemonade base and stir well.
  16. Add the chilled peach puree to the lemonade mixture and stir gently.
  17. Taste and adjust flavors as needed (sugar, lemon juice, or water).
  18. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  19. Pour the Peach Apple Lemonade over the ice.
  20. Garnish with fresh peach slices, apple slices, lemon wedges, and mint sprigs, if desired.
  21. Serve immediately and enjoy!
