Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Select the Peaches: Choose ripe peaches that are slightly soft and fragrant. If they are not ripe, leave them at room temperature for a couple of days until they soften.
- Wash and Slice: Rinse the peaches under cool water, cut them in half, remove the pit, and slice them into smaller pieces.
- Gather Other Ingredients: Collect the Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ice cubes.
- Add Ingredients to Blender: Place the sliced peaches in a high-speed blender first.
- Incorporate Yogurt: Add the Greek yogurt for creaminess and protein.
- Pour in the Milk: Add almond milk; adjust for thickness as desired.
- Sweeten It Up: Drizzle in honey or maple syrup, adjusting sweetness to taste.
- Add Flavor: Pour in vanilla extract and sprinkle ground cinnamon if using.
- Ice It Up: Add ice cubes for a chilled smoothie, if desired.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high for 30-60 seconds until smooth, scraping down sides if necessary.
- Taste Test: Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Adjust Consistency: Add more almond milk if too thick, or more yogurt/ice if too thin.
- Prepare Your Glasses: Chill glasses in the freezer if desired.
- Pour the Smoothie: Pour the smoothie into prepared glasses.
- Garnish: Garnish with fresh mint leaves and optional peach slices or extra cinnamon.
- Enjoy Immediately: Serve fresh with a straw or spoon.
- Storing Leftovers: Store any leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Freezing for Later: Freeze sliced peaches and yogurt in portions for quick smoothies later.
