- 2 peppermint tea bags
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy), plus more for frothing
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or 1–2 shots of espresso
- Whipped cream, for topping (optional)

- Crushed peppermint candies, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew the Peppermint Tea: Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the peppermint tea bags and steep for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bags, squeezing gently.
- Create the Mocha Base: In the same saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder and sugar. Add the brewed peppermint tea and whisk over medium heat until dissolved. Incorporate 1/2 cup of milk and heat through, but do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint and vanilla extracts.
- Prepare Coffee and Froth Milk: Prepare your strong brewed coffee or espresso. In a separate container, froth the remaining milk using your preferred method.
- Assemble the Latte: Pour the coffee or espresso into a large mug. Pour the peppermint mocha mixture over the coffee. Top with frothed milk.
- Add Toppings: Add whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and crushed peppermint candies, if desired.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
