  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy a refreshing and tropical treat with these Pineapple Strawberry Slushies! This easy-to-make frozen beverage combines the sweetness of fresh pineapple and strawberries with a hint of coconut water, making it perfect for hot days. Garnish with mint for an extra touch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (or canned pineapple, drained)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional, for added tang)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and slice them in half.
  2. If using fresh pineapple, cut off the skin and core, then chop into chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain and set aside.
  3. Toss the prepared fruits in a bowl to mix the flavors.
  4. In a blender, add the pineapple chunks and strawberries, layering them evenly.
  5. Add the ice cubes for a frosty texture.
  6. Pour in the coconut water.
  7. Drizzle in the honey or agave syrup, adjusting to taste.
  8. If using lime juice, add it now for a refreshing zing.
  9. Secure the lid and blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until smooth and slushy. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  10. Taste the slushie mixture. If it’s not sweet enough, add more honey or agave syrup and blend again.
  11. For more tang, add additional lime juice and blend.
  12. For a thicker consistency, add more ice and blend until desired thickness is achieved.
  13. Pour the slushie mixture into your favorite glasses or cups.
  14. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and optional fruit slices on the rim.
  15. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy!
  16. Transfer any leftover slushie into an airtight container, leaving space at the top for expansion.
  17. Seal tightly and place in the freezer.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness and tanginess to your preference by modifying the amount of honey/agave syrup and lime juice.
  • For a fun presentation, use mason jars or colorful cups.
