Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate bars, broken into pieces
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Using a fork or your hands, mix until the crumbs are evenly coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish or a square baking pan. Make sure to create an even layer, as this will be the base of your S’mores dessert.
- Bake the crust in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Be careful not to let it boil.
- Once the cream is hot, remove it from the heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate layer.
- Preheat your broiler on high. Make sure your oven rack is positioned about 6 inches from the heat source.
- Place the dessert under the broiler for about 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye on it.
- Once they are toasted to your liking, remove the dessert from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- If you like, break up some milk chocolate bars and sprinkle them over the top for extra chocolatey goodness.
- For an added crunch, sprinkle some crushed graham crackers over the marshmallows.
- Let the dessert cool completely at room temperature, or refrigerate it for about 30 minutes to help it set further.
- Once the dessert is fully set, use a sharp knife to cut it into squares or wedges.
- Serve the S’mores dessert on a plate, and drizzle some melted chocolate over the top or serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
- Enjoy your delicious homemade S’mores dessert with friends and family!
- If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
