Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza crust
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup taco sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. If using a store-bought crust, follow package instructions for pre-baking. For homemade, roll out the dough to your desired thickness and transfer to a pizza stone or lined baking sheet.
  3. Evenly spread the refried beans over the pizza crust using a spatula.
  4. Pour taco sauce over the beans and spread evenly.
  5. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the taco sauce.
  6. Distribute the cooked ground beef or turkey evenly over the cheese layer.
  7. Scatter diced tomatoes and sliced black olives over the meat.
  8. Sprinkle an additional ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven once the cheese is melted and the crust edges are golden. Let cool for a few minutes.
  11. While cooling, chop the lettuce, dice the red onion, and slice the avocado if using.
  12. Cut the pizza into wedges, typically 8 slices.
  13. Top each slice with shredded lettuce, diced red onion, and avocado slices.
  14. Drizzle sour cream over the pizza using a squeeze bottle or spoon.
  15. Sprinkle chopped fresh cilantro over the pizza.
  16. Serve the taco pizza hot, straight from the oven.
  17. Consider serving with tortilla chips and salsa or a simple side salad.
  18. This dish is perfect for sharing with family and friends.
